Staff at one of Dublin’s busiest hospitals are said to be incensed at the decision by management to introduce a €500 car park charge for staff.
The IMPACT union balloted its members, who overwhelmingly voted in favor of industrial action.
IMPACT spokeperson Niall Shahan said “IMPACT has 470 members employed at St James’ Hospital in Dublin, and our members there have voted 91% in favour of taking industrial action,”
“This is in response to proposals by management to introduce parking charges at the hospital for staff in the region of €500.”
