Polling in Joan Burton’s Dublin West constituency is said to be “brisk” this afternoon. The 67-yr-old was running 5th in the 4-seater in the latest poll taken in her constituency.
It’s looking highly likely like Burton won’t be re-elected due to the fact that she’s not transfer friendly.
A Labour activist tweeted the following but quickly removed it this morning:
“Well we did our best, Joan knows it, we know it. She had a hell of a run.”
Burton’s Labour party is said to be about to take a worse pummeling than Fianna Fail took in the 2011 election. We’ll know tomorrow morning if Burton will be getting her P45.
