Status Yellow low temperature-ice warning remains in place for most of the country




19 counties in the west and midlands are under a Status Yellow low temperature/ice alert, reports RTE.

Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Munster, and Connacht are all under a warning that will go into force from 8 p.m. and remain in effect until 11 a.m. tomorrow.

It will be extremely chilly, with lowest temperatures of -3C or below, according to Met Éireann, reports RTE.

Additionally, the forecaster cautioned of ice patches and sharp to severe frost formation.

According to Met Éireann, tomorrow will be dry but mostly dreary, with nighttime fog and mist proving difficult to remove in some places.

According to the report, the western part of the country will see the lowest temperatures, with highs of 1 to 6 degrees Celsius and a light northeast wind, reports RTE.
