After being hit by a car in County Wexfordt, a lady in her 50s passed away, reports RTE.
At around 7:10pm on Saturday evening, the incident happened on the N25 in Stokestown. There were no other recorded injuries, reports RTE.
There are local detours via New Ross while the N25 Eastbound route is blocked for a technical inspection.
Anyone who was travelling in the vicinity and may have video footage, especially from a dash cam, is being urged by the Garda to call any garda station, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or New Ross Garda Station at 051 426 030, reports RTE.
