
A Status Yellow warning is now in effect for 7 counties due to heavy rain forecast.
The warning, which covers counties Kerry, Cork, Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, and Wicklow, kicked in at 10am today and will remain in effect until 1pm on Thursday.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience very heavy rain and strong winds, which may lead to localized flooding.
