A Status Yellow warning remains in effect for nine counties as horrid weather conditions take hold across the country.
The warning is in place for counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo.
According to Met Eireann, many areas around these counties will experience strong winds throughout the morning and early afternoon.
The warning will expire at noon.
