A Status Yellow weather warning for snow and ice is now in effect for five counties.
The warning, which covers Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, and Sligo, will remain in place until noon tomorrow.
According to the national forecaster, sleet and snow may lead to hazardous conditions across roads and footpaths.
