Status Yellow wind warning remains in place for five counties




A Status Yellow wind warning is in effect for five counties as strong winds and heavy rain sweep across the country, reports RTE.

Met Éireann said the warning for wind for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo will be in operation until 7pm.

An earlier wind and rain warning for Munster, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo expired at 3pm.

Met Éireann said strong and gusty southwesterly winds may lead to difficult travelling conditions, fallen trees and loose debris, reports RTE.
