
In a collision in County Laois, a 5-yr-old boy lost his life, reports Breaking News.
The young child has been named as 5-yr-old Aaron Hussain, with his family paying tributes to him on Facebook, with many describing him as a wonderful child who was loved all who know him.
Around 4.20pm on Saturday afternoon, he was struck by a car in Portlaoise’s Kilminchy neighbourhood.
After being taken to Portlaoise Regional Hospital, he was declared dead shortly after, reports Breaking News.
There were no injuries to the driver, a lady in her 40s.
The road is already stopped and will be closed tonight. Tomorrow morning, Garda forensic crash investigators are scheduled to conduct a technical inspection.
Anyone who saw the event or possesses dashcam footage from the vicinity is being urged to come forward by the GardaÃ, reports Breaking News.
Road users who may have dash-cam or other camera video and were at Kilminchy, Portlaoise, Co Laois between 4 and 5 p.m. today afternoon are requested to forward it to the gardaà who are conducting the investigation.
