A British tourist stuck in Kiev as Russian forces close in on the Ukrainian capital has said the war -torn county is “still safer than London or Birmingham”
Miles Routledge, from Birmingham, is a disaster tourist and was in the new last August when he was evacuated from the Afghan capital Kabul following its fall to the Taliban when U.S and Western forces fled the country in defeat.
The devil may care lad is using a forged press pass to get through Ukrainian army check points as he wanders around the eerily quiet capital city and said he is prepared to lose “a limb or two” heartening his audience by letting them know that if this happens he will simply return to the UK and “live off benefits”.
