The ESB has confirmed that upwards of 10,000 homes have been left without power in the wake of Storm Atiyah.
The weather system is currently moving across the country, lashing Ireland with strong winds and heavy rain.
A number of weather warnings are in effect at the moment, and Met Eireann is advising people to stay indoors if possible.
The outlook is for clearer weather on Monday, before a spell of rain moves in on Tuesday.
