Storm Diana: Met Eireann issue two orange severe weather warnings for today

The message is simply, take extreme care when out and out today.

Met Eireann have issued two orange status weather warnings for today as Storm Diana approaches this morning.

The weather warnings come as gusts reaching 130kp/h are expected in the West and south of the country early this morning.

Met Eireann say the warnings will apply to counties Cork, Kerry and Waterford and are in effect from 6am until at least midday.

Meanwhile an orange status warning will be in place for Wexford, Galway and Clare from 9am until 2pm.
