The tail end of Storm Jonas lashed the country over the last 48 hours, causing power outages and further flooding in areas already waterlogged due to the recent spells of heavy rain.
However, weather conditions will improve gradually throughout the day today, leading to bright and sunny spells with a few scattered showers.
It will be cold, however, with temperatures ranging between 4-8C, falling to between 0-2C tonight.
The outlook is for further unsettled weather over the next few days, though nothing too dramatic.
