We have an incoming weather front, set to arrive on our shores by Tuesday morning.

Storm Jonas caused devastating damage to large swathes of America’s east coast, blanketing New York and Washington with deep snow and ice.

And the storm is now heading our way, bringing heavy rain and lashing winds along.

A significant amount of rainfall is expected nationwide tomorrow, Tuesday, and the wet weather is expected to continue throughout the night and into Wednesday morning.

Brighter but colder weather will follow towards Wednesday afternoon and evening, and Thursday will see a similar pattern, with temperatures hovering between 7 and 10C.

Friday’s weather will be milder, but more rain is expected throughout the day and into the weekend.
