Storm Jorge is currently unleashing its power across western areas, battering the country with heavy rain and winds of up to 145km/h.
A Status Red weather alert is currently in place for counties Galway and Clare, and will remain in effect until 4pm.
The advice is to stay indoors if at all possible and wait until the worst has passed.
