Summer blast! Forecasters say temperatures could reach 25C as warm front is predicted to sweep across the country next week!

The weather outlook is pretty bleak at the moment as temperatures are far below the seasonal average, however it could be soon set to warm up according to forecasters.

According to The Donegal Weather Channel, Ireland could be set to see a return to warm weather as temperatures could reach as sizzling 25C next week.

The forecaster stares that temperatures will begin rise this weekend and will continue to rise next week as a warm front moves up from the South East.

In a post on its website The Donegal Weather Channel said the following: “Early next week is looking much warmer with temperatures in the low 20s and an area of high pressure will be sitting right over Ireland.”

“This is the latest run from the ECMWF model. Current indications show temperatures over next week reaching as high as 24C maybe even 25C as the high pressure centres itself over Ireland with a warm south to southeast airflow.”

“In this set up the warmest temperatures will be across the west and northwest of Ireland but coolest across the east, southeast and south due to sea breezes keeping temperatures lower at coasts.”

“The GFS also shows the same outcome and trending for a mostly dry end to the month with below average rainfall.”

If weather charts are to be believed, the forecaster say the West and North West of the county will experience the best of the weather with temperatures expected to reach the mid twenties.

However it will be slightly cooler in costal areas including the East and South East.
