The main suspect in the Madeleine McCann case has been moved to a single prison cell for his own protection it has been revealed.
According to Sky News, German justice minister, Claus Christian Claussen, said that the suspect known as only Christian B was moved to a single cell in recent days.
It is reported that the suspect was moved for his own safety as prison wardens became concerned about attacks from fellow inmates.
The news comes after it was recently revealed that the man had applied for parole after serving two thirds of his drugs sentence.
It is understood that the man who is also serving a sentence for rape is due to have his parole hearing next week.
