Ground services and cargo handling company Swissport has announced the loss of up to 4,000 jobs across UK and Ireland airports.
A spokesperson for the company said that revenue for Swissport relies on a large amount of flights moving in and out of airports, so Covid-19 is largely to blame for the crisis.
Swissport is owned by the Chinese conglomerate HNA Group.
