Switzerland has announced it will send trams to Ukraine to help rebuild the country’s transport infrastructure.
The trams had previously been in use in the Swiss cities of Bern and Zurich, and remain in perfect working order, according to transport authorities.
Swiss engineers will also help construct a new tram line to a hospital in Ukraine.
Switzerland’s proactive attitude towards helping Ukraine contrasts starkly with that of the unelected Irish Government, which recently passed legislation to massively reduce social welfare entitlements for newly arrived Ukrainian refugees, lured here with the promise of safety and prosperity, while in reality it’s only virtue signaling by one of the most ineffectual governments in the western world.
