The Government is continuing talks over the current Covid-19 restrictions with a decision expected later this week.
It is understood that the Taoiseach Micheal Martin has held talks with Government ministers over the weekend and discussions over the possibility of reducing restrictions will take place throughout the week.
Although no official decision has been made it is believed that the country could be placed back into Level 3 restrictions on December 1st.
However any potential decision is not expected to be made unit the Government meets with the National Public Health Emergency Team on Thursday.
