Tanaiste says there isn’t mixed communication coming from the Government over Covid-19 restrictions

The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar has said that there isn’t mixed communications coming from the Government over the length of Covid-19 restrictions.

Speaking to RTE News, the Tanaiste also stated that the Taoiseach Micheal Martin didn’t say Level 5 restrictions would last until May.

Varadkar said that everyone within Government is communicating and unfortunately we are facing though restrictions through April.

The Tanaiste said the current focus is to get schools reopening on a phased basis through the month of March and over Easter.

However unfortunately it would be to risky to open other sectors at this time.

Varadkar added that things are moving in the right direction but we must proceed with caution as case numbers are still very high.
