The Government have confirmed that the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar will meet US Vice-president Mike Pence next Tuesday.
The announcement comes as the US vice-president is due to visit Poland this coming weekend.
It is understood that the Mr Pence’s visit has been moved forward from next Friday as the US President Donald Trump is unable to make the trip to Poland.
The US Government say President Trump will remain in the US in order to deal any potential issues raised by Hurricane Dorian.
