The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that the reopening of schools and construction is a top priority.
Speaking to RTE, the Taoiseach said that the Government will continue with a cautious and conservative approach to reopening society with current restrictions expected to last until at least Easter.
Martin said that although restrictions will remain in place until April 4th, he said that the reopening of schools and construction is a priority.
He said that a phased approach to reopening schools is a sensible approach as it would stop in the region of one million people moving about at once.
Meanwhile he said the reopening of construction is important as housing projects needed to be completed throughout 2021.
