“If you go, don’t come back” – public outrage at Martin saying he’ll go to USA for St Patrick’s Day despite Irish citizens fined €2,000 if they travel abroad

There has been absolute uproar on social media after the Micheal Martin put his foot down in terms of whether or not he’s going on holiday to America for St Patrick’s Day.

Social media users are saying that it’s absolutely outrageous that Martin gets to go to America for St Patrick’s Day while the rest of us are limited to 5km travel or face a €2,000 fine per person if we’re caught trying to travel abroad.

In what can only be described as literally laughing at the Irish public, the Taoiseach Micheal Martin has brazenly said that he’ll go to America for St Patrick’s Day, if asked, despite the Ireland being on full lockdown.

Martin made the comments when announcing to the nation that he’s decided that heavy lockdown restrictions are going to last until Easter.

Martin was speaking on RTE radio and said that all foreign travel must stop but that he himself will go to America for St Patrick’s Day if he can work it out.

Many people are saying that Fianna Fail will get it in the neck at the next election as a result of Martin’s bad decision.
