Taoiseach rules out lockdowns in Dublin and Limerick despite Covid-19 case rise

The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that the Government is not looking to introduce local lockdowns in Dublin and Limerick despite a recent rise in cases.

Speaking today, the Taoiseach said that residents living in those areas don’t have to worry about a lockdown, but warned the public that they must follow social distancing guidelines.

Martin who also announced that current Covid-19 restrictions will be extended by a further two days, said that next week’s roadmap will look to deal with rising cases more comprehensively.
