The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that a legal case brought against a Dublin hotel by Maria Bailey has caused some reputational damage to the Fine Gael party.
Speaking to RTÉ’s This Week programme, the Taoiseach said the issue which has since been dropped was raised by a number of voters to candidates during the European Election campaign.
Varadkar who said he has yet to speak to Ms Bailey also said that it was hard to quantify what damage it caused to the party.
He added that Ms Bailey took legal action before she became a TD, before stating the Fine Gael party had no consultation in the matter.
