The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that he would take the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine.
Speaking about the resumption of the roll-out of the vaccine in Ireland, the Taoiseach said he would happily take the vaccine citing the UK as an example.
Martin said given what we have seen in the UK the vaccine is safe and it is saving lives.
He went on to say that the European Medicines Agency confirmed that the vaccine is safe and effective.
