Martin: “We do understand and get it that people are fed up”

Appearing to try and convey that he understands what the average man and woman is going through, Micheal Martin claims to know what people are going through and that they’re fed up.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said that he will not speculate beyond what he has already said on whether the restrictions will continue after April 5 or will be relaxed at that time.

Mr. Martin responded to directions from Assistant Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ronan Glynn that the restrictions may remain in effect for a few months, possibly until June.

In Cork, Martin said the government would notify the public by April 5 what will happen from then on.

“We do understand and get it that people are fed up,” Martin said, reports RTE.

“I am not going to speculate, but we will give people clear indications in advance of April 5th as to how we see April panning out and I don’t believe in speculating beyond that.”

Mr Martin said the big concern remained Covid-19 variants, which were “more transmissable and more deadly”.
