Following a fire at abandoned structures in Brittas, County Dublin, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar expressed his “great concern,” reports Breaking News.
People who thought the buildings at Crooksling off of Blessington Road were going to be used to house migrants have lately organised demonstrations in the region.
Although inquiries into the event are ongoing, Mr. Varadkar stated that there is “never any justification for violence, arson, or vandalism.”
Emergency services were summoned to the empty buildings that were on fire around seven in the morning, according to the Dublin Fire Brigade, reports Breaking News.
A turntable ladder, an emergency tender, and seven fire engines were dispatched to the location.
The Taoiseach said: “I am very concerned to learn about the fire at a former nursing home in Crooksling. In recent weeks there have been disturbing reports of suspected criminal damage at properties around the country. There is never any justification for violence, arson or vandalism in our Republic. Garda investigations are underway into the incident in Crooksling,” reports Breaking News.
