The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that the country is in track to lift most Covid-19 restrictions.
Speaking about the lifting of restrictions on October 22nd, the Taoiseach said that the Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan is happy that case numbers amongst school children has stablised.
However despite being on track to ease further restrictions, Martin reiterated that some measures will will remain in place including the wearing of face masks in public places.
The Taoiseach’s comments come as a further 984 Covid-19 cases were confirmed on Wednesday.
