Taoiseach says it is our responsibility to pass our planet on to the next generation in better condition than we inherited it




The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that the Government’s Climate Action Plan will nudge people and businesses into changing their behaviour when it comes to helping the environment.

Varadkar who was speaking at the launch of the Climate Action Plan which aims to eradicate Ireland’s carbon emissions by 2050, said the plan will encourage people and businesses to make right decisions in regards to tackling climate change.

The Taoiseach also stated that he believes that the plan will work and it will be beneficial to everyone in the end as it will bring better and cheaper alternatives to everyone.

Speaking about the plan following it’s launch, the Taoiseach said he thinks that it is a sensible and an effective plan that will help deliver our targets.

He also claimed that the plan which will bring Ireland forward, will help everyone as it will create more jobs and businesses.

Before adding that he believes that the greatest responsibility we (the people) have is to pass on our planet to the next generation in a better condition than we inherited it.
