The new Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that the new jobs stimulus package to boost the country’s economy will be ready by July.
In an announcement made at Dublin Castle, Martin said the package will look
to create jobs retail, leisure and tourism sectors as well as boost small businesses.
The announcement comes as the new coalition has said that it is up to the task of reducing the current number of 900,000 people on social benefits following the Covid-19 outbreak.
Martin said that a number of areas will be looked at in terms of creating jobs but in particular youth employment opportunities will receive a boost.
