The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that he doesn’t believe that any industrial action by teachers wouldn’t cause disruption at the nations schools.

Speaking on Friday, the Taoiseach said that despite the threat of possible strike action he fully expects schools to operate as normal from the beginning of next week.

Martin also said that he is fully aware of the concerns raised by teachers and both he and the Education Minister Norma Foley are in contact with the teachers unions in an effort to address concerns.

The news comes afte the Association of Secondary Teachers Ireland voted in favour of industrial action earlier this week.
