Taoiseach says that Ireland faces ‘rolling restrictions’ for the foreseeable future

The recently appointed Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that Ireland faces ‘rolling restrictions’ for as long as Covid-19 remains a threat.

A Level 5 lockdown will come into effect at midnight tonight, and remain in place for six weeks.

The plan is for Ireland to return to Level 3 by the end of this period, but what effect will Level 5 have remains to be seen.
