The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said keeping the country’s schools open over the coming months ahead is the Government’s top priority.
Speaking on RTE’s This Week in Politics programme, Martin said that keeping schools open is more important than opening pubs or allowing the public to attend sporting events.
Martin told the programme that the Government will do everything to achieve this goal.
He added that he was concerned with events over the weekend which saw people marching through the streets of Dublin in protest of public health measures.
