The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has tested negative for Covid-19 after being in close contact with a confirmed case.
It is understood that the Taoiseach decided to restrict his movements after French President Emmanuel Macron tested positive for the virus.
Although the Taoiseach received his test earlier today the results have since come back negative.
It is believed that Martin was a close contact of the French President after attending an European Council meeting in Brussels last week.
