The furlough scheme currently in operation in the UK has been extended until the end of April 2021.
Under the scheme, the Government pays up to 80% of the wages for those workers who were ‘temporarily’ laid off due to the pandemic.
The scheme was originally due to end in March, but will now be extended by 30 days.
