Enda Kenny has donned the populist cap and has asserted that he is going to call in the very same bankers that are running the country from behind the scenes, to discuss the recent escalation in home repossessions.
There has been an alarming in the number of court orders for the seizure of homes. As many as 93 applications were lodged in one day alone.
Opposition parties claim that regulations which enable a bank to arbitrarily reject repayment deals need to change.
Mr. Kenny said that he ‘intends to talk to banks about the issue.’
In the meantime, more people will be left out on the street and more children will suffer the inequities inherent to the last two Governments.
