The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that the threat of another national lockdown is always there.
Speaking in Limerick, the Taoiseach said that he remains hopeful that such a scenario can be avoided he said the threat is always there.
Martin said that last week’s restrictions recommended by NPHET were introduced to avoid another national lockdown.
He added the Government followed NPHET’s advice so we don’t get to that situation.
