55-yr-old Richard Glenn has been banned from teaching after getting drunk and taking his 6th Form pupils to a stip club in Costa Rica whilst on a school trip in July 2019.

According to the Metro, Glenn, an IT teacher at Longridge Towers School drank beer and rum with his pupils ranging in age between 16 and 18 years old.

Glenn then took his pupils to a strip club known as “the number one gentleman’s club in Costa Rica”.

After returning for the stip club, he shared a hotel room with the trip’s female leader and “exposed his naked body” to her.

Days later he got drunk again and threatened one of the pupils saying “I’m going to kick your f*****g head in” and told another pupil that he would “f*****g kill” them.

Within a moth of returning from the trip, the IT teacher was dismissed for gross misconduct.

The Teaching Regulation Agency has now been banned from teaching for three years and agreed there was “no malice or sexual intent” by taking pupils to the strip club. They also acknowledged that Mr Glenn exposing himself to his colleague was not “sexually motivated”.

Longridge Towers School is an independent co-ed day and boarding school costing £9,650 a term for boarding and £4,850 for day pupils.
