According to The Times newspaper, two Dublin-based companies that are part of Pornhub are being sued in America for allegedly profiting from the dissemination of child-abuse videos. MG Billing and MindGeek Content RT — are ultimately owned by Pornhub’s Canadian parent company, MindGeek.

Up until January they were using the Dublin headquarters of the accountancy firm Grant Thornton as an address. Last December, Grant Thornton resigned from it’s auditor position.

According to the Business Post, California court documents allege that MindGeek, which hosts Pornhub, “knowingly benefited financially from thousands – if not millions of videos posted to their various websites featuring victims who had not yet reached the age of maturity”.

An online petition has been organised to which has gathers 2.2 million signatures calling for Pornhub to be shut down and it’s corporate “executives to be held accountable for aiding trafficking”.
