An Argentinian teacher has died from suspected coronavirus live on a Zoom call to her students, the Mirror reports.
Paola de Simone, a 46 professor at a Buenos Aires university, was teaching a virtual class when she told students she hadn’t been feeling well and had trouble breathing. She had reportedly had symptoms of Covid-19 for over a month.
When her condition deteriorated on screen, a student asked for her address so they could call an ambulance. The teacher gasped ‘I can’t’ before collapsing. She was later confirmed to have passed away.
Covid-19 cases are on the rise in Argentina, where nearly 10,000 people have already lost their lives during the pandemic.
