Temperatures to top 22-23C over the next 48h, and approaching storm front now looks like like it will blow far northwest of Ireland

The national forecaster is predicting that temperatures will likely top 22-23C over the next 48h, and have added that the approaching storm front is now likely to remain well away from Ireland.

The storm was first feared to track over Ireland during the coming weekend, but the weather system appears to have now changed course.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, will likely be the best day of the week, with temperatures set to decrease to mid-teens from Wednesday onwards.
