A kindergarten teacher has been sentenced to death after she was found guilty of poisoning 25 children at a school in China.
According to BBC News, the woman Wang Yun, was sentenced to death after she was found guilty on Monday.
The incident which occurred last year sadly resulted in the death of one child who spent just over 10 months in hospital.
It is believed that Wang put sodium nitrate in the childrens breakfast following a disagreement with another teacher of management issues.
The shocking incident which made global headlines occurred in Jiaozuo city on March 27th last year.
BBC News reports that the court heard that Wang poisoned the children who were in a different class as part of a revenge attack following a disagreement with their teacher.
It is understood that 23 of the 25 children began to vomit and faint after eating their porridge that morning.
Wang who had been previously accused of poisoning her husband with nitrite which she obtained online, reportedly got into an arguement with her colleague over student management.
