Black Lives Matter supporters have targeted the daughter of a slain Texas policeman with an online campaign of hate, abuse and threats after she posted a public tribute to her father with the hashtag #BlueLivesMatter.

The phrase Blue Lives Matter was created to highlight the danger to the lives of policemen and the lives lost by law enforcement in the line of duty.

18-year-old Savannah Chavez posted the tribute after her father Officer Ismael Chavez and his partner Officer Edelmiro Garza were shot and killed in ambush by career criminal Audon Ignacio Camarillo in McAllen county Texas.

The tribute, now deleted read:

“Words cannot describe the pain I’m in, but I’m glad my dad is at peace. you were an amazing man and anyone who ever came across you knew that. I’m going to miss you so much. you died doing what you loved most, you died a hero. i love you daddy, see you soon. #bluelivesmatter”

However, with the current hatred of law enforcement being fuelled by the Black Lives Matter movement and other leftist organisations, the heartbroken teenager had to then deal with torrents of abuse and vile messages about her, her father and police in general.
