Gardai in Ballymun have arrested a teenage boy after he was found with over €400,000 worth of heroin in his backpack. It is understood the young boy was arrested at Coultry Park in Ballymun yesterday afternoon when gardaí decided to search him.
Gardaí say they grew suspicious of the boy’s activities and decided to stop him and conduct a search when they discovered he was carrying approximately three kilos of heroin in the bag.
The drugs have an estimated street value of €420,000. Gardai say the boy is being detained at Ballymun Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking Act) 1996.
