It is reported that Gardai are investigating an alleged serious sexual assault against a 17-year-old girl in County Kerry.
According to Extra.ie, the alleged assault took place in the centre of Tralee a few hours after the end of the Rose of Tralee festival. It is alleged that the teenager was assaulted in Tralee Town Park, a park where hundreds of people had been socialising after the Rose of Tralee ended.
The woman is not said to be seriously injured but is extremely traumatised by the alleged attack and the Gardai investigation is ongoing.
