An 18-year-old teenager sadly lost his life yesterday evening when the car he was travelling in collided with a ditch on the R188 road near Ballyhaise, Co Cavan.
The driver and rear seat passenger were taken to Cavan General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The stretch of the R188 road is currently closed pending a technical examination.
