Gardaí in Co Kildare have confirmed that a 16-year-old boy who was arrested in connection with a hit and run on Friday has been released from custody.
The teenager’s release comes after a 51-year-old woman was seriously injured in an incident at Canal Bridge, Osberstown, Naas at around 8.25pm on Friday night.
It is believed that the woman was injured after a car struck a parked car which then hit her.
Gardaí say driver of the car at the time of the incident failed to remain at the scene.
They added that a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
