A woman in her 30s has died following a kayaking accident in Co. Kerry earlier today.
It is understood that the woman was part of a five-strong kayaking group who were attempting to negotiate the rapids on the Roughty River, near the village of Kilgarvan.
Her body was retrieved by emergency services after an extensive search of the area. It is believed that the deceased was from the Cork area.
